Our Beginning,

Our Transition...

Paul Spooner, Craig and Matt’s father, started Spooner Electric in the early 1970s’. Initially a one-man truck working out of Turtle Valley, the company grew and was incorporated in 1984.

For the past 50 years, the Spooner group has continued to serve customers in the southern interior with a wide range of industrial, commercial and residential electrical installations and renovations.

The Spooner family is proud to share an important and exciting new chapter in the evolution of their locally owned businesses serving the North Shuswap and surrounding communities.

Our History

For decades, brothers Matt and Craig Spooner have worked side by side building Spooner Industrial and Westend Concrete into trusted, community-based companies known for hard work, reliability, and strong local ties. What began as a family operation grew through long hours, shared risk, and a deep commitment to the region.

Our Transition

As part of a thoughtful transition plan, ownership of Spooner Industrial is evolving. Craig will be stepping away from Spooner Industrial. Moving forward the company will be owned by Matt Spooner, Nathan Spooner, and long-time team member Connor Siddall, who has worked alongside the Spooner family for many years and is considered part of the family both professionally and personally.

Our Future

This transition follows a successful shift almost three years ago, when the next generation stepped into ownership of Spooner Electric Ltd. Jeremy Spooner and Trevor Davies have continued to grow and strengthen the electrical division, reinforcing confidence that this next chapter will carry forward with the same steady leadership and commitment to the community.
